Description of the project

The scope of work was to verify structural strength of the clamp and lower part of the jacket structure during lifting operation according to new lifting procedure.

Our calculations were divided into three stages:

  • stage one – lifting analysis of the bottom part of the jacket in horizontal position,
  • stage two – lifting analysis of the bottom part of the jacket in 45 deg angle from horizontal position,
  • stage three – lifting analysis of the bottom part of the jacket in vertical position.

Total mass of lifted object in each lifting position was equal 225 t.

Strength calculations have been carried out in accordance with DNVGL Rules and NORSOK Standards based on delivered documentation and models.
